Air Dolomiti

Air Dolomiti was founded in 1989, the fruit of the enthusiasm of an Italian entrepreneur, Alcide Leali, who foresaw the strategic potential of a market thus far ignored: the interregional air-transport market. Air Dolomiti foresaw the importance of alliances: after a brief period of collaboration with Crossair Air Dolomiti and Lufthansa made a trade agreement in 1993, the first step towards their future partnership, signed in 94, and subsequently the entry of the German colossus into the capital of the regional carrier in 1999. Air Dolomiti made its mark from the very beginning as an airline business with a most distinctive corporate culture, and was immediately recognised as a reliable, efficient and strongly customer-orientated company.

All services are orientated to satisfy the requirements of travellers, and one of its key strong points today is its commitment to provide several daily flights to each destination which guarantee regular and punctual services. During these twenty years of business Air Dolomiti has constantly renewed and increased its fleet. Since 2009 Air Dolomiti has been introducing the new Embraer 195 for which is the launch customer in Italy: the Company undertakes the historic evolution of 100-seater range. The E195 is a vanguard, extremely flexible, dynamic aircraft with innovative design: pointed winglets and sleek lines are some of the distinguishing features on the outside, but the real beauty of this 116-seat airplane is on the inside.
