Thunder Airlines Limited has been in business in Ontario since 1994 employing over 90 staff and operating a fleet of 11 aircraft. Their fleet consists of 5 MU-2 aircraft, 5 King air A100′s and 1 Cessna Grand Caravan.Their Head Office/Flight Coordination Centre is located in Thunder Bay and our busiest location is Timmins. Other aircraft and staff are also located in Sioux Lookout and Sudbury.They are one of the largest Air Ambulance contractors for ORNGE (Ontario Ministry of Health) and supply charter air service to many organizations in Ontario. We also now operate scheduled passenger service to the coast of James Bay, from their Timmins base.With service locations in Thunder Bay, Sioux Lookout, Sudbury and Timmins, our aircraft are utilized for regular passenger charters, executive travel, air cargo and air ambulance transfers.

When flying in a group of 4 or more people, charter flights are often less expensive than scheduled passenger service. Add that cost saving to reduced waiting time at the airport, flying on your own schedule, free parking and it makes sense!.All passengers must check-in at their departure station at least 45 minutes prior to departure with the Thunder Airlines Agent. Travelling guests who have not checked in 15 minutes prior to the scheduled aircraft departure will be deemed as a no-show guest and their seat re-sold.Thunder Airlines of your change of plans may allow a payload increase for important cargo to be shipped.Passengers travelling into “Dry” Remote communities are not allowed to carry, conceal, or ship any type of consumable alcohol.
