Windward Islands Airways

Windward Islands Airways International N.V. better known as Winair is a Government owned regional airline and was founded in 1961. The airline operates 4 de Havilland Twin-Otter aircraft between nine destinations. Winair has provided safe and efficient air transportation in the North Eastern Caribbean for more than 47 years. Winair offers daily connections from their main gateway, the Princess Juliana Airport in St. Maarten with daily flights to the islands of Saba, St. Eustatius, St. Barths, Nevis, Anguilla and three times weekly to Antigua, Montserrat and Barbuda. From our Antigua hub, Winair offers daily flights to Montserrat and Barbuda. Winair presently has a code-share agreement with our US partner US Airways.

This code-share agreement enables passengers on US Airways to fly from their destination in the US on a US Airways ticket to any of Winair destinations. The advantage for their customer is that you and your luggage are checked through from your originating airport to your final destination. No need to go through immigration or customs. A great trouble-free way to start and end your vacation. Passengers will also received their boarding passes for the entire journey which allows the passenger to have a shorter connection time at the St. Maarten airport. Winair also has interline agreements with several other major carriers like Delta, United, Northwest, Air Canada, Continental, Air France, British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, Insel Air and Caribbean Airlines.
